BAB (Motorway) 43 Witten-Heven EXIT 20
Turn towards Herbede at the traffic lights. Turn left at the T junction towards Witten (4km). After approximately 2500 metres there is a roundabout. Take the first exit from the roundabout to the right towards Hagen and you will reach Ruhrdeich. From here, the stainless steel mill is visible on the left hand side. Turn right at the first set of traffic lights at the first major junction. The road leads over the bridge crossing the River Ruhr. A sign saying Zeche Theresia is visible after crossing the bridge by the S bend. Turn right into Nachtigallstrasse at the traffic lights. After a few hundred metres you will reach the car park on the right-hand side.
On the days in which the museum is open you can travel directly to the mining and narrow-gauge railway museum on one of the Muttenthalbahn trains.
There are NO parking facilities for coaches close to the museum. Parking facilities for cars are also very limited directly outside the museum premises. Please park your vehicle in the car park on Nachtigallstrasse where there is also sufficient space for coaches.

Train to Witten Hauptbahnhof (main station).
From the bus stop in front of “Witten Hbf”, take BOGESTRA bus route 379 in direction to Witten-Bommern. Leave the bus at “Witten-Bommern Bf” (2 stops) and walk along the Nachtigallstrasse (around 5-10 minutes).
VRR transport executive conditions apply on busses, trams and trains.
By feet from the main station
Leave the main station to the right and walk across the bus station, then turn right and follow the Gasstraße. Again turn right into the Ruhrstraße and after the big bridge over the Ruhr again right, on a small footpath directly to the Muttenthalbahn (~25 minutes by feet – there may be rental bikes available at the station).
